What do your readers think if you miss a day or two?

Wow, it’s been really hectic lately. From websites and programming deadlines to my dear family being sick. I’ve been burning the candle at three ends. As a result, I have not had opportunity to keep up with my own schedule of posting once a day.
I almost feel guilty. Almost feel I am letting my readers down.
But then I am reminded that it is not about me but about you. So I guess my question is how do you fee when you favourite blog skips a beat? Misses a day or two?
Posting Schedule
I am a firm believer that consistency in a posting schedule is important. Whether you post once a day or once a week, your readers get to expect to see a post as per your schedule.
Missing a day or two should not, I believe, destroy that schedule. Things happen. But any thing longer one should try to compensate.
Getting help.
A while back you might remember that I was attacked by a dog. Had my hands bitten. As a result I could not write any blog posts.
I put out a call for help. My readers came to the party. Wow, and how. They gave me guest posts for a week. I am still thankful to this day.
Don’t be afraid of asking for help. This is what the blogging community is all about. If it was not I would have given up long time ago.
Back-up plan
This is one area I know I do not do well in. That is having a back-up plan. What do I mean by that. Well the best way to keep those posts coming is to build up a blog post bank.
Many of the A-list blogger will tell you this. When you have some idle time, yes I know, who does, write a few posts and keep them on ice for a rainy day or two.
Keeping blog posts in store help to relieve the post schedule pressure, relieves stress, and keeps the readers happy.
Conclusion
Everyone will miss a day or two. Sometimes I stress about it. But I know I shouldn't. There are ways and means of minimising the damages.
But the real question is, what do you think when your favourite blog misses a day or two?
