Everyone makes mistakes. The point is do you learn from them? Twitter is a World Wide Web phenomenon that every one is getting into. As a newbie you would have made many mistakes. But now that you are a professional seasoned Twitterer are you still making those silly mistakes? Social media is one big learning experience at this point,
I wrote a post on 10 Stupid Twitter Mistakes to Avoid that you should really read before you carry on. This post should really be in tandem with that one.
- Posting Twitpics of others without their explicit consent.
- Thinking that people might be interested in ways to make money from Twitter
- No updates, but complaining about no followers
- Dishonesty
- Not realising that"Good Morning" might be "Good Night" to others.
- Thinking that Twitter is one big advertising oportunity.
- Making Tweets too personal.
- Not being personal enough
- Replying to every DM
- Making statements that nobody bothers to read.
- Using follow finders
- Sending out Public tweets that should be DM's
- Over Tweeting
- Thinking Twitter is one big chatroom
- Don't be afraid of making mistakes

Re: Twitter mistakes that you might have made before.
This is a humorous, Robert Mainly because I can relate to #12, which caused me some self-inflicted agony for that boneheaded nonobservance of whether the "D" was prefixed. It's funny now, but sure as hell wasn't funny then. LOL
I'd also add this one to your list; sending out them damn hugs, kisses and other silly objects and expecting someone to spend their time returning them. By Jimi Jones on

I might be guilty of a few of them, but honestly I don't worry about it. I just try to be myself and if people get annoyed, well...that's fine with me.
What I don't like is people like @unmarketing telling others how they should tweet, reply, and DM. By Nathan Hangen on

Jimi, you mean you don't like all those cheerful little things people send you? Don't they just make you want to spread the love???
KIDDING!!! I'm so sick and tired of the junk!
Great list, Robert. I think I often fall into tweeting stuff that's personal and people probably could care less about. By Erica Mueller on

Re: Twitter mistakes that you might have made before.
Hey Robert, I have probably been a bit too personla on Twitter when I complained about the holes in my underpants. I think number 5 is harmless. I would say, "Good night from China".
