I feel for this poor girl. The humiliation and shame that she must be going through. But despite it all, she went out and faced the world, ran the race and won.

Don’t give up.

This is a great lesson to us. Blogging is not an easy task. Especially if you are competing amongst champions competing for gold. Have you ever been accused of taking someone else's content, or idea. I have. Have you ever been accused of not having original work.

Although this cannot be compared to what Caster Semenya is going through, her resolve is a huge lesson to us all.

Many South Africans have come out in defence of Caster Semenya saying "it's not about being classified as x,y,z but about what you are capable of achieving", "Stereotyping kills teams. Each person is unique. It's about your contribution, not what box you are put into"

Each blog is unique, it’s your baby. No matter how it is classified, it’s about what you are capable of achieving. Caster Semenya proved to us that hard work, dedication and loads of resolve can achieve your goal. Never give up, despite the huge odds that might be building up against you.

Many bloggers give up within the first year, because they feel their blog has not achieved their goal. Could you imagine where Caster Semenya would be had she given up on her first defeat or loss. Perhaps if she gave up now, where would she be in another years time? Giving up is the easy path, sticking with it despite the hurdles we face is the hard part.

Controversy.

One thing though is that controversy is always a traffic builder. This might not be the kind of publicity that Caster Semenya is looking for, but the controversy has put her into the limelight of the media. Caster Semenya is now a house hold name amongst all sport fans.

Controversial posts and articles will always drive traffic to your site. Writing a controversial article every now and again is a good strategy. But don’t overdo it. Music artists use this strategy over and over again. Want the public to know who you are, be controversial at times.

Be true to your self.

Another thing that Caster Semenya has taught us is that one needs to be true  to oneself. Caster Semenya could have given in to all the pressure. But she believed in her self. Despite what the world was saying, she believed in herself. We should do so as well. I might not be the best writer or even the best blogger in town. But I believe that I have a message to tell. I believe that I have knowledge to share.

If you don’t believe in yourself and in your blog, then it is bound to fail.

The proof is in the pudding

Although many would hate to admit it, the only way this cloud of doubt will go away is if Caster Semenya some way proves that she is a girl. Whatever that proof might be. It will finally put the whole matter to bed.

Sometimes we have to do that which we are totally against in order to prove our worth. The world is a sceptical and evil place. Always placing doubt on anything that might be good.

In order to become a credible source in your niche as a blogger might require you do prove some things. Don’t resist. As long as it is legal and aboveboard, peruse any means to show your credibility. Without that, your writings will be blurred in the eyes of the world.

You want your blog to succeed, take every opportunity to prove you are credible.
