Volcano's and Tsunami's are a real threat to us nowadays. Who can forget the recent tsunami devastation that occurred. Now a fantastic volcano eruption of the coast of Tonga.
"The U.S. Geological Survey says that a 7.9 earthquake has struck near Tonga, prompting a tsunami warning for adjacent islands in the South Pacific. The USGS says that the quake struck about 130 miles (200 kilometres) south-south-east of the Tongan capital of Nuku'Alofa at a depth of 6.2 miles (10 kilometres). It struck Friday morning local time. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre has issued a tsunami warning for neighbouring islands, but it was not immediately known if a tsunami had been generated" - www.dailymail.co.uk
Some fantastic pictures can be viewed on the Daylymail website. Just look at the idiots taking pictures of the event. If that was me, and with the recent history of tsunami's and violent earth quakes and devastation. I would want to be as far away as possible.
One Tonga resident told reporters the tremor had lasted for "something like 20 seconds".
