If your are a blogger then you have faced this problem sometime in your blogging career, if not many times. For new bloggers, 6-12 months, this often occurs sooner than later.

Every blogger has this challenge at one point or another. In fact I often have "bloggers Block". Wondering where the next article is going to come from. This happens to the "newbies" as well as the seasoned "oldies".

Often when this happens I tend to go searching other blogs for ideas and inspiration. To this end I found this great article on Problogger, 7 ways to keep fresh content flowing on your blog. I refer you to read it for inspiration and some great ideas.

But I am going to list and summarize what he has said:

  1. Mind Mapping. Brainstorm ways that that topic can be expanded upon into numerous new topics.
  2. Involve Readers. Once you have an established readership get your readers involved. Guest Posts, Reader Questions, Community Written Posts.
  3. Explore new ‘Voices’.  Experiment with new types of writing styles and posts.
  4. Update Previous Posts and Topics. Expand, update, improve or rewrite older post with fresh insight.
  5. Guest Posts. Certainly one way to keep the flow of content going.
  6. Hiring Writers. Another way to approach bringing others onto your blog as writers is to look at hiring a blogger (or team of bloggers) to help you create content for your blog.
  7. Develop an editorial calendar. Don't think of creating content one day at a time. Look ahead. Plan ahead.

These tips have certainly helped me in a time of blogging crisis. Hopefully you will find something that you can implement that will help you.
